Over the last couple of weeks genealogy and this blog have had to take a bit of a back seat, and it will be several weeks before I do anything major, although I will still try and service all emails that are "on topic" within a week of receipt.
One of the reasons is that my blog "Trapped by the Box" has been rather neglected recently and I have decided to give it a major face-lift. It has a new mission statement:
We are all, both individually and as a society, trapped by boxes - some physical, some mental. Some of these boxes are built from our childhood experiences, some from the customs and beliefs of the society in which we live, some are imposed by the technology we use, and ultimately we cannot escape the planet on which we live. The aim of this site is to look creatively at some of the issues involved and present them in an educational way. It will also look in more depth into the achievements and limitations of the human mind – and look in detail at one possible model of how human intelligence has evolved.
You will also find, in the right hand column of this blog, a "permanent" link to my other blogs. These have been set up in such a way that I can, wand will, regularly update the pictures.
